My mission call arrived on February 22, 2016. After work, I checked my phone and saw an e-mail informing me that I had received a package, and I knew just what it was! I could hardly sit still through my chemistry class, and as soon as it was over I rushed straight to the mail room. Just as I had suspected, a large white envelope was there waiting for me. I quickly informed my parents, roommates, friends, family, Facebook, and anyone else I happened to run into. I made plans to open it later that evening, when my grandma and uncle would be there. Finally the time came and I read the long-anticipated words:
"Dear Sister Nielsen, you are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Nevada Reno Mission ... You should report to the Mexico Missionary Training Center on Tuesday, June 14, 2016. You will prepare to preach the gospel in the Spanish Language."
